Totsie and Winn in front of our new apartment in downtown Cuenca. We have a beautiful courtyard and garden that is maintained for us. We are on the ground floor of a 4 story building next to the famous Escalinata stairway. Above us is the Wunderbar and various offices. We live 1/2 block from the Tomebamba River which we can see from the garden. Going down the Escalinata, we cross the river and are at the huge Parque de Madre and commercial area. Going up the stairway puts us on Calle Larga and about 5 blocks further north is the center of town. We love this location and are having fun becoming city people!
