I have loved the Japanese SAORI loom but was curious about the possibilities of more shafts in weaving. So I started thinking about what kind I would want and considered having one made here in Ecuador. And then by chance my friend who was selling an 8 shaft loom told me about a woman who had a 4 shaft loom. I contacted her and we ended up deciding to trade! We are both happy with the deal. So I now am weaving with a Leclerc Nilus made in Canada. I can tell it is-and has been-a workhorse of a loom. Below are pictures of my first weavings. I am excited about the results.
